Salary Range: $55,224-$69,030 per annum commensurate with experience
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week
Status: Permanent Full-time

Come join the Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research as we work to transform and dramatically improve heart health for children, adults, and their families. We are an innovative and groundbreaking collaborative organization formed by three partner institutions (Hospital for Sick Children, University Health Network, University of Toronto) bringing together basic, translational, and clinical research under one umbrella with a singular focus: addressing heart failure across the entire life span.

As Coordinator, you will play an integral role in the Centre. By bringing your passion to build community, you will support this ambitious research institute and its collaborative research teams of current and next-generation leaders from our three partners and beyond. This will require thoughtful engagement with scientific and clinical leaders, student trainees, and people with lived experience while improving the experiences of patients, caregivers, and families living with heart failure.

Key responsibilities:

  • Funding Competition Management – preparing calls for applications, supporting review panels, and facilitating funding agreements
  • Event Planning & Organization – leading logistics, supporting planning committees, and serving as primary liaison with all speakers
  • Process Improvement – identifying opportunities to improve services, as well as other initiatives to foster effective and efficient operations across the Centre
  • Partner Relations – coordinating external meetings (agendas, minutes, and follow up actions), nurturing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and potential partners to strengthen our community
  • Reporting – compiling data, preparing presentation of data, and maintaining records
  • Administrative Support – processing expenses and payments, supporting website maintenance, and maintaining Directorate documentation

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent
  • Three to five years of related experience required
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem solving skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a talent for influencing others to keep projects moving
  • Strongly self-directed, innovative, and driven to take ownership and demonstrate mastery
  • Outstanding eye for detail
  • Flexible, curious, and willing to experiment, learn, and evolve solutions over time
  • Works well under pressure, uses good judgment in assessing & responding to difficult situations
  • Experience working in education, research, or healthcare and comfort with medical terminology would be an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and desire to learn new AI software tools
