2020 Heart Failure Symposium

The Centre’s first-ever virtual symposium was held Dec. 4-5, 2020. It features, for the second straight year, a research-focused day and a day devoted to managing heart failure in primary care.

2019 Heart Failure Symposium

The fourth annual Ted Rogers Centre Heart Failure Symposium, May 3-4, 2019 in Toronto was held held in conjunction with the Heart & Stroke/Richard Lewar Centre of Excellence in Cardiovascular Research’s Michael J. Sole Annual Cardiovascular Scientific Day.

With nearly 400 attendees, this continued to be Canada’s largest conference on heart failure, where national and international experts will explore cutting-edge innovations in precision medicine, basic and translational research, molecular imaging, bioengineering, and much more.

Heart Failure Update 2018

At Canada’s largest meeting devoted to heart failure, the Ted Rogers Centre and Canadian Heart Failure Society  united to host Heart Failure Update for a second consecutive year.

The event drew more than 500 participants and featured national and international heart failure experts. With a bench-to-bedside makeup, focused on the latest clinical advances for the practicing clinician and nurse while exploring novel basic and translational science in key areas that have a major impact on heart failure care. Heart Failure Update 2017

The Canadian Heart Failure Society and the Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research united to co-host Canada’s largest meeting devoted to heart failure. This special event offered the latest information for the practising clinician and nurse, and a simultaneous stream focused on investigative research – truly bench to bedside.

Sessions featured an interactive roster of expert plenaries, case-based panel discussions, workshops and debates targeted at health-care professionals and investigators whose focus is improved heart failure treatment and prevention.

Ted Rogers Centre Scientific Symposium 2016

Our first major international conference launched in Toronto in May 2016. The Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research Scientific Symposium united the cardiovascular community in southern Ontario and beyond to participate in advanced concepts and conversations around heart failure.

This two-day event featured leading experts across multiple disciplines including keynote speakers Dr. Hugh Watkins (University of Oxford, at left), Dr. Mikhail Kosiborod (Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute) and Dr. Adrian Hernandez (Duke University).
